Approval of facilities of business operators dealing with food of animal origin

Qëllimi: The purpose of this procedure is to verify the fulfillment of the minimum requirements for infrastructure, equipment, production line and the identification of objects of entities operating business with food of animal origin. The approval procedure is subject to the facilities that, on the basis of the risk analysis assessment, represent a medium or high level of public health risk, namely the objects of production, processing and storage of food of animal origin that their products distribute and exhibit for sale through the network of other commercial entities, here usually include processed food products, semi-finished or ready to be consumed, with medium or long term use and to maintain the standard quality and safety of the product; storage requirements at adequate temperatures throughout their use.

Përshkrimi: Business Operators dealing with Food of Animal Origin are obliged to submit a request for the approval of the respective facility to the Public Health Directorate within 30 days prior to placing the food in the market, as per Annex 2 of Regulation No. 18/2016. Business operators may be granted the approval for: 1. Facilities for slaughtering and cutting livestock animals: cows, goats, sheep, pigs and horses; 2. Facilities for slaughtering and cutting of poultry and rabbit meat; 3. Facilities for slaughtering and cutting of wild domesticated animals meat; 4. Facilities for slaughtering and cutting of wild animals; 5. Facilities for the production of minced meat, preparations of meat and meat mechanically separated from bones; 6. Facilities for processing of meat, sausage, smoked meat products, semi-final and final foods of meat, cans, fat/grease and other meat products; 7. Facilities for live shells: 8. Facilities for fishery products: 9. Facilities for milk products: 9.1. Milk collection points, which supply two or more approved facilities for milk processing and its products; 9.2. Facilities for milk processing: 10. Facilities for eggs: 10.1. Egg packaging centers; 10.2 Production of liquid eggs; 10.3. Processing eggs. 11. Facilities for processing frogs and snails; 12. Facilities for collection and processing fat and melted grease of animals; 13. Facilities for processing stomach, spleen and intestines; 14. Facilities for jelly;
